Our client is a prominent New York City-based higher education institution (College/University). Job description :
The Director - Major Gifts is an Executive Level position within this College/University. Directly involved in major Capital Campaigns and Fundraising Initiatives as well as Major Gifts and Endowments, the Director will continue to build upon an existing network of donors while at the same time developing new outlets for fundraising and donations.The Director will have an active role in managing activities of Officers and Senior Officers within the department and will work closely with others in the Alumni Relations and Development Offices to plan and oversee new programs and fundraising efforts. The Director will also work closely with Faculty and Administration to leverage their relationships to develop additional donors and major gifts.The Director will be a public face for the development office and will regularly travel to meet with donors and to attend College/University events. Who we are looking for :
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have: A minimum of ten years experience in development, major gifts or planning/endowment from a prominent non-profit Have significant experience in cultivating and securing major gifts of over $100,000 Have demonstrated success in the planning and execution of new fundraising initiatives Have experience in these areas specifically within HIGHER EDUCATION Whats on offer :
