About the company :
Our client is a New York City metro area based manufacturer and distributor of machines and technology to the business and consumer communities. Job description :
We are conducting a search on their behalf for an in-house counsel to handle a host of corporate matters that run the gamut of legal responsibilities. Some of these tasks will include: Handling heavy contract review including both vendor and sales agreements Reviewing private and government RFPs for services, ensuring compliance and providing analysis Reviewing marketing and advertising materials to ensure compliance with FCC regulations Working with senior management to develop and draft corporate policies and procedures, including reviewing and editing of existing documents Serving as "outside counsel" to internal departments, providing legal advice and counseling on a range of matters Provide guidance on industry best practices for collection and use of data Other duties as assigned Who we are looking for :
The proper candidate for this role will: Have graduated from a top-tier law school and excelled academically Be bar admitted in New York and/or New Jersey or be willing to sit for the appropriate Bar exams Have at least five years of relevant experience either with a law firm on in house Have some litigation experience Have knowledge of the electronics industry Have experience working with Japanese clients, internally and externally Have knowledge of interactive marketing technologies, including, cookies and other passive data collection technologies Whats on offer :
