Financial Services firm is in need of an experienced procurement manager to be responsible for their global technology procurement.  Responsibilities of the position include the purchasing of all technology equiptment, supplies, commodities, and services that support the US as well as their global operations.  The position involves negotiating all of the contracts that the firm executes with their vendors, interfacing with the legal department and the technology managers.  The position also involves reviewing and  monitoring SLAs with their vendors to assure contractual compliance.  The procurement manager will maintain excellent records on all purchases as assures that the firms policies are met as well as coordinating with the accounting group to assure that all budgets are met.  Qualfied candidate must have at least 5 years as a technology procurement manager in a financial services firm, with the responsibilities listed above.  A college degree is preferred but not a must.  Candidate must be familiar with all of the technology disciplines, such as networkingm client/server,  app and OS virtualization, back up, desktop computing,software applications, Storage, SAAS,  Operating Systems Platforms, and system hardware and databases.  Candidate must be knowledgeable in cost center accounting, expense coding,  and all of the principles of procurement for technology.  knowledge of Remedy or Peoplesoft a plus.  Package includes salary, bonus and excellent benefits.
