This Trade & Supply Chain Business Development Officer will focus on identifying prospective middle market ($20MM - $2BL) importing and exporting companies in Metro New York and Pennsylvania, and will play a leading role in convincing them to move their banking relationship to Bank of America by leveraging the banks core competency in Trade & Supply Chain solutions, our knowledge of best practices among industry leading importers and exporters, and our focus on working capital optimization and risk mitigation. This BDO will also partner closely with multiple client teams led by client managers in order to introduce our Trade & Supply Chain Solutions to new and current BofA clients and prospects. The BDO must have a solid understanding of the working capital cash conversion cycle, and should be able to effectively quantify and relate how our Supply Chain Finance and / or traditional Import LC or Export LC solutions would improve a companys working capital metrics: DPO, DIO & DSO and/or risk mitigation strategy. A very high level of face to face client and prospect calling activity as well as strong Trade Services Product Knowledge are very important. The BDO will need to determine key decision makers, rapidly develop relationships (internal and external) to generate leads, build advocacy, and expand referral sources. The BDO will drive a detailed assessment of prospect company and/or industry to demonstrate prospective value, deliver a powerful value proposition with clear and compelling reasons to commit to Bank of America. The ability to prioritize prospects and allocate time and resources in order to leverage high potential relationships is important in the role. The BDO will need to capitalize on unexpected events or circumstances and turn them into opportunities in one of our most critically important markets: Metro New York City and Pennsylvania. 

Qualifications
Required skills:



Must be able to command an audience; Financial acumen and working capital management expertise to drive new revenue growth with our proven Supply Chain Finance solution; Traditional Trade Services sales skills;. Business Development skills.



Client Management / Business Development / Trade Credit skills.



Significant Trade Sales Officer experience



Consultative selling skills rooted in a strong and fundamental knowledge of traditional trade services including import and export letters of credit, collections, bankers acceptance financing, Eximbank WCGPs, etc.



Experience in crafting trade solutions designed to help importing and exporting companies optimize their working capital, drive outs costs, and mitigate the risks inherit in global trade.
